SMS Alerts — Sign-Up

Calibrated by Karger · for staff and authorized operators

Who this is for. This SMS program is available only to internal staff and authorized operators of Calibrated by Karger. It is not offered to the general public, and we do not accept sign-ups from anyone outside our organization.

To sign up for operational alerts

Ask your Calibrated by Karger system administrator to enroll you, and give them the mobile number you want alerts sent to. You will be read the disclosure below and asked to confirm out loud before any number is added.

Sign-up is verbal only. There is no website sign-up form, no text-to-join keyword, and no advertised short code. The only way to join is to ask an administrator in person or by phone, as described on this page.

The disclosure you will be read, word for word

Before any number is written down, the administrator reads this aloud in full:

“Calibrated by Karger will send you operational and system alerts: scheduled job results, system errors, task and approval requests, and daily summaries. No marketing. About 5 to 20 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out at any time. Our terms are at calibrated-by-karger.pages.dev/sms-terms and our privacy policy is at calibrated-by-karger.pages.dev/sms-privacy.”

“Do you consent to receive these text messages, yes or no?”

Your number is recorded only after you say yes out loud. If you answer no, or do not answer, nothing is recorded and no message is ever sent.

What the administrator sees when enrolling you

This is the actual enrollment screen used by Calibrated by Karger administrators. The disclosure is displayed to them word for word and must be read aloud before any mobile number can be entered, and the system will not save a number unless the consent field is filled in:

What you are agreeing to

Calibrated by Karger's internal notification system will send you operational and system alerts by text message. These include scheduled job results, system errors and failures, task and approval requests, and daily status summaries. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.

You can expect approximately 5 to 20 messages per month, depending on system activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply HELP at any time for assistance. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

How sign-up works

  1. You ask the system administrator to enroll you and provide your own mobile number.
  2. The administrator reads the disclosure above to you in full.
  3. You answer yes out loud to consent. If you answer no, or do not answer, your number is not recorded and no messages are sent.
  4. Your number is entered and you immediately receive a confirmation text: “Calibrated by Karger: You are now opted in to operational alerts. Approx 5-20 msgs/month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”

Stopping messages

Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages. You may also ask the administrator to remove your number.

If you have opted out and later want alerts again, ask the administrator to enroll you again through the same verbal consent described above. Standard carrier resubscribe keywords are also honored, but they are not a way to join this program — they only reverse a previous opt-out for someone already enrolled.

Your privacy

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with any third party for any purpose. Numbers are never purchased, rented, imported from lists, or obtained from third parties — every number in our system was given to us directly by that person as part of their own sign-up.
